LVMS Construction Update (July 10-14)
Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Public Relations Department will be providing weekly construction updates as the speedway undergoes its multi-million dollar facelift, which will result in a new fan interactive garage area, a pit road closer to the grandstands, resurfaced and re-banked racing surface and state-of-the-art media center.
In the past week, construction crews have completed the following tasks:
Started paving the apron, pit road and Legends oval with the base course of asphalt.
Continued erecting the catchfence around the superspeedway.
Completed approximately 85 percent of the installation of lights and mirrors for the new pit road.
Nearing completion of all underground wiring, water and sewer work.
