NASCAR's best to hit Vegas' high banks March 9-11, 2007;
Tickets go on sale Sept. 16
Records will fall and excitement will rise when the stars of the NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch Series return to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the annual NASCAR Weekend March 9-11, 2007. Tickets in the Petty and Earnhardt Terrace are on sale now. All remaining tickets will go on sale Sept. 16.
This will mark the first visit to the speedway for NASCAR's premier series since the speedway raised its banks from 12 to 20 degrees, moved pit road approximately 250 feet closer to the grandstand and erected the state-of-the-art, fan-interactive area as part of the Nextel Cup garage.
"The high banks certainly are going to produce more speed and closer racing," said LVMS general manager
Again in 2007, the March 11 UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 is scheduled to be the third stop on the NASCAR Nextel Cup tour. The Sam's Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series event will precede the NASCAR Nextel Cup event on Saturday, March 10. Qualifying for the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 is set for Friday, March 9.
