LVMS television advertisement wins prestigious

Electronic Media Award

 

            Las Vegas Motor Speedway¿s 30-second television commercial promoting the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 and Sam¿s Town 300 has been recognized for an Electronic Media Award.

The award, for best television commercial, is presented by Working In Communications and honors outstanding achievement in local radio, television and website media, as well as achievement in the Southern Nevada broadcasting community.

            Collaborating on the award were speedway account executive Craig Cochran, who wrote and produced the spot; Spectra Video president John Mastrogiacomo, who edited the ad; and Bob Brown of Brown Spots, who did the voice-over for the commercial.

            ¿This award is a reflection of a lot of hard work by some very talented people,¿ said Chris Powell, LVMS general manager.  ¿This advertisement, along with several other successful promotional tools, helped make the 2003 NASCAR Weekend the most successful in the speedway¿s history.  This same talented group already has produced our spot for the 2004 event, which can be seen on national, regional and local broadcasts.¿

            In addition to this award, Spectra Video also teamed with MLMP Productions to win the award for Best 30-second TV Public Service Ad and with Cool Blue Design to win for Best Training Video.

            KVVU Fox 5¿s ¿Saturday Night NASCAR,¿ filmed live at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 1, won for Best Sports TV Program and for Best TV Special Events Coverage.
