Champ Car Entry List

There will be a lot of familiar names called during Saturday night's driver introductions for the Las Vegas 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event.

One-third of the field for Saturday night's race will be comprised of former NASCAR Nextel Cup Series drivers. A total of 12 ex-Cup stars are among the 36 drivers who have filed entries for Saturday night's race.

Las Vegas' Brendan Gaughan joins former Cup stars Ted Musgrave, Jimmy Spencer, Bobby Hamilton, Mike Skinner, Ron Hornaday, Jack Sprague, Johnny Benson, Todd Bodine, Robert Pressley, Steve Park and Ricky Craven on the entry list.

Challenging these veterans will be some young racers looking to move up. Last year's rookie of the year David Reutimann, Roush Racing's Todd Kluever, Kevin Harvick protÈgÈ Burney Lamar and Darrell Waltrip recruit Joey Miller will be among the young guns challenging the veterans.

In addition, West Coast racing star David Gilliland has been chosen to drive the Billy Ballew Motorsports No. 15 on Saturday night. Shane Hmiel won last year's race driving the Ballew entry.

The Las Vegas 350 will open the Las Vegas Double Down in the Desert Saturday night at 6:15 p.m. That race will be followed by the Hurricane Relief 400 for the Champ Car World Series. Tickets for the doubleheader are on sale now at the LVMS ticket office by calling 1-800-644-4444 or logging on to
