The Richard Petty Terrace at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is getting colorful this holiday season. Construction crews have begun the installation of the bright red, white and blue seats in the 17,000-seat grandstand. The flip-down, chair seats include cup holders and will give race fans a spectacular view of the racing action. "The construction crews have been working hard on this project since late spring," said LVMS general manager Chris Powell. "They've been grading land, pouring concrete and erecting steel for the past few months, and it's refreshing to see this magnificent grandstand taking shape." The grandstand will be open for the March 10-12, 2006 NASCAR Weekend. It was similar to the Dale Earnhardt Terrace, which opened in 2004. Tickets are available by calling 1-800-644-4444 or by logging on to www.lvms.com. Race fans also can purchase three-day pit passes, Lucky 7 preferred parking passes and pre-race activities passes through the speedway ticket office.
