Race teams refer to the NASCAR inspection bay as the "Room of Doom," and race fans who buy passes to the Neon Garage at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will get a first-hand account of what the crew chiefs face every week.

Construction crews began erecting the walls for the inspection bay this week as part of the ongoing, multi-million dollar infield renovation of the LVMS infield. Once completed, the inspection area will have large windows facing toward the interior of the Neon Garage to allow fans to watch the NASCAR officials at work.

In addition to the work on the inspection station, construction crews began pouring concrete for the third-floor observation deck of the media center, continued placing the metal panels on the front of the media center and continued work on the second-floor viewing area for the Neon Garage.

Tickets for March 9-11, 2007 NASCAR Weekend as well as passes for the Neon Garage are on sale now by calling the speedway ticket office at 1-800-644-4444 or by logging on to www.lvms.com.
