Starting times for Las Vegas Motor Speedway's 2007 NASCAR Weekend are set. For the second straight year, the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race on Sunday, March 11, 2007 will start at 1:40 p.m. (Pacific Time). The Sam's Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series on Saturday, March 10 will start at 2 p.m. The Busch race starting time is 90 minutes earlier than this past year.
"We had several discussions with NASCAR about the starting time of the Sam's Town 300," said LVMS general manager Chris Powell. "We decided that an earlier start time will allow the race fans to enjoy a great day of racing and still have time to enjoy the excitement and nightlife for which Las Vegas is famous."
Speedway officials also announced that Saturday's Sam's Town 300 will be televised by ABC Sports. It will be the first over-the-air network for a Busch Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. FOX Sports will televise the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 for the seventh consecutive year.
