Season 10 American Idol contestant and Interscope Records recording artist Pia Toscano will sing the national anthem prior to the start of the Kobalt Tools 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, March 11 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“I am so excited to be returning to NASCAR to sing the national anthem. Performing for NASCAR is truly an honor and I am thrilled to part of the race weekend in Vegas,” said Toscano, a 23-year-old native of Howard Beach, N.Y.

Interscope Records released her first album, This Time, last spring and launched a summer-long U.S. concert tour. She has appeared on the Regis & Kelly Show and The Disney Channel and has performed with American singer-songwriter Josh Groban and Italian operatic superstars Il Vulo.

After Toscano sings the national anthem, popular television star Tim Allen (Home Improvement, Last Man Standing) will give the command to start engines and the USAF Thunderbirds will perform their flyover.
