Las Vegas Motor Speedway is welcoming back an old friend as sponsor of the Sept. 25 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event.

Smith’s Food & Drug Stores, which co-sponsored the event in 2006 and 2007, has returned as title sponsor for this year’s event. The event will be called the Smith’s 350.

“Smith’s was a terrific partner in 2006 and 2007, and we’re pleased to have one of the area’s most popular grocery and drug-store chains returning to sponsor our event,” said LVMS president Chris Powell. “Smith’s is a household name in the Las Vegas community, and we’re excited to have it back in the fold.”

“September 25th will be an  exciting day  to many of our customers and associates in Nevada who will attend the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, and we are delighted to be a part of this great event for a third time,” said Kenny Kimball, Smith’s Group Vice President of Sales and Merchandising.

Saturday, Sept. 25 – Ticket gates C, E and Neon Garage open at noon; Gates A, B, D and G open at 4 p.m.
9-10:15 a.m. – Smith’s 350 practice.
10:45 a.m.-Noon – Final Smith’s 350 practice.
Noon – Ticket Gates C and E, Neon Garage and pit road open.
12:30-2 p.m. – U.S. Legends Car events.
2-3:00 p.m. – Speedway Children’s Charities track walk.
3:15 p.m. – Smith’s 350 qualifying.
6 p.m. – Driver introductions.
6:30 p.m. – Smith’s 350 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race (146 laps, 219 miles).
10 p.m. – Neon Garage closed.
