One of America's premiere drifting events gets even bigger in 2008 as Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Formula Drift team up to bring you the most prestigious drifting event on the planet. The third visit by the best drifters in the sport will find a new track design, increased speeds and sharper turns that will push their limits to the test. American superstars Sam Hubinette, Tanner Foust and Vaughn Gittin go head-to-head in qualifying against an all-star team from Japan led by Daijiro Yoshihara and Kenji Yamanaka. It's all on the line on Friday night under the lights to determine grid positions for Saturday's main event.

Adjacent to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway drifting arena, the Battle of the Imports Drag Racing series will have three rounds of qualifying as well as a very special "all import invitational" version of Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Midnight Mayhem street racing program.

Gates Open: 5 p.m.
Racing: 7 p.m. - 1 a.m.

The third visit by the best drifters in the sport will find a new track design, increased speeds and sharper turns that will push their limits to the test. The "Palace of Drift" cranks the action up to a new level in the most intense drifting competition ever held.

"America's Greatest Drag Strip" will unleash an all out assault on the record books as the top import and sport compact tuners in the planet attack the track. It's all on the line with eliminations in the fifth round of the Battle of the Imports Championship Drag Racing Series.

The action off the track is even hotter with a huge manufacturer and lifestyle midway, car show, music and The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway's world famous hot Summer night bikini contest.
