Fans of the Late Model division in The Orleans NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series will have twice as much to cheer about this Saturday night at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Twin 25-lap main events will make Saturday night essential to the race for the 2003 championship. Glen Burke, winner of six main events this season, holds a narrow one-point lead (473-472) over rookie, Travis Swalwell, winner of this past Saturday¿s main event. Donna Gunther, the Secretary of Speed, is in third with 414 points. Stewart Motorsports IMCA Modifieds, Chargers, Legends Cars, Thunder Roadsters presented by Tri-State Petroleum and VP Racing Fuels, and Bandolero Cars will also take to the track followed by the Bullring Bombers running a 50-lap race. Charger driver Doug Matter, Master Legends Cars driver Rick Rogas, Pro Legends Cars driver Michael Fredericks, Semi-Pro Legends Cars driver Alex Haase, Thunder Roadsters driver Dave Green and Bandoleros driver Kyle Huender continue to hold onto their top point position. Junior race fans can register for the Bullring Pit Crew Kids Club at any weekly series this season. The program is free to children ages 5-12. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with qualifying at 6:20 and racing at 7:15. General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens/military personnel and $3 for children ages 6-12. Children five and under are free. Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Admission for NASCAR members is $20 and $25 for non- members.
