Late Model drivers will compete in twin 25-lap main events as part of The Orleans NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday night. The Late Model points battle is heating up and two feature events this Saturday will put even more pressure on the title contenders. Glen Burke leads rookie Travis Swalwell by a mere 11 points. In 11 races, there have been four different winners including: Burke (6), Doug Hamm (3), Swalwell (1) and Mark Schottmuller (1). In addition to the Late Models, Stewart Motorsports IMCA Modifieds, Chargers, Legends Cars, Thunder Roadsters presented by Tri-State Petroleum and VP Racing Fuels and the 7-Eleven Bullring Bombers are on the racing card. Dave Green remains the points leader in the Thunder Roadster division with eight wins. After posting a win last week, Matt Ross moved up in the point standings into second place. Ross is now tied with Dale Dlugos with 584 points, 61 points behind Green. Drivers leading the point standings in their respective divisions are Doug Matter (Chargers), Ken Kulikowski (IMCA Modifieds), Michael Fredericks (Pro Legends Cars), Rick Rogas (Master Legends Cars), Alex Haase (Semi-Pro Legends Cars) and Darren Rollins (Bullring Bombers). Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. with qualifying at 6:30 and racing at 7:15. General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens/military personnel and $3 for children ages 6-12. Children five and under are free.
