Five valley churches will participate in the Inaugural Faster Pastor race and food drive at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday as part of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. Church leaders will compete in 7-Eleven Bullring Bombers for bragging rights and to raise food donations for local charities. The 20-lap feature lineup will be determined by the number of non-perishable food items donated by each church. Church members are encouraged to bring food donations to the track; collection tables will be set up identifying each church. All food donations will be given back to each church to be donated to its favorite charity. Participating churches include: Desert Hills Baptist Church (Pastor Tony Forehand), First Baptist Church, The Lakes (Raceway Ministry Chaplain Kenny Farmer), Green Valley Baptist Church (Pastor Rob Boyd), Redrock Baptist Church (Pastor Darrell Adcock and Worship Minister James Wojo) and Tropicana Christian Fellowship (Pastor Michael Price and Pastor Joe Hill). Also on the racing card are Late Models (25 laps), Chargers (25 laps), Sudden Impact Auto Body IMCA Modifieds (25 laps), Legends Cars (25 laps), Thunder Roadsters (25 laps) and Bandolero Cars (15 laps). Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:30 with racing at 7:15. General admission is $11 for adults, $9 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $4 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $24. Admission to the Stockyard is $36 per vehicle (up to four people). Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members.
