Dads will be the featured guests this Saturday when the annual Chris Trickle Father¿s Day doubleheader takes place at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. This is the sixth year for the Father¿s Day Super Late Model twin main events and the second year it has carried the name of the late Chris Trickle. Trickle, a racing prodigy and regular at the Bullring, passed away in 1998 from complications that resulted from a random shooting in 1997. The 2003 Super Late Model track champion and the late Chris Trickle¿s father Chuck Trickle swept the event in 1999 and 2000, Saturday he¿ll look for the sweep once again. Chris Clyne and Rich Attisani posted Super Late Model wins in last year¿s event. Dads in the crowd will have the opportunity to take part in the third annual Father¿s Day Bowling Tournament to win a prize package from LVMS. Fathers have until 7 p.m. Saturday evening to register at the Summit Racing table located under the grandstands for the chance to win. In addition to the twin mains, feature events Semi-Pro Legends (25 laps), Pro/Master Legends (25 laps), Late Models (25 laps), Thunder Roadsters (25 laps), Chargers (25 laps), and Bandoleros (15 laps). Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:20 with racing at 7:15. General admission is $11 for adults, $9 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $4 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $24. Admission to the Stockyard is $36 per vehicle (up to four people). Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members.
