It¿s all in the family this Saturday during the Chris Trickle Father¿s Day doubleheader at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. A number of fathers will be competing in conjunction with their sons and daughters as part of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. Steve and David Anderson (Super Late Models), Matt and Jonathan Mawhinney (Semi-Pro Legends Cars), Ron and Nicole Booth (Master and Semi-Pro Legends Cars), Fabian and Chris Bray (Super Late Model and Late Model), Mike and Steve Ray (Super Late Model and Thunder Roadster), Mike, Scott and JT Montes (Thunder Roadsters and Semi-Pro Legends Cars), Paul, Dave and Tom Green (Thunder Roadsters), Dennis and Tom Lovelady (Master and Pro Legends Cars) and Greg and Alex Haase (Super Late Model and Pro Legends Cars) are all expected to compete in their respective divisions. Bragging rights will also be up for grabs as four of the dads will race against their children. The Montes and Greens will race in the Thunder Roadster division, the Mawhinneys will face off in the Semi-Pro Legends Cars race, and the Andersons will go head-to-head in the Super Late Model twin main events. All dads in attendance will have the opportunity to register to win a spot in the Father¿s Day bowling tournament and to win a prize package from LVMS. This is the sixth year for the Father¿s Day Double-header and the second year it has carried the name of the late Chris Trickle. Trickle, a racing prodigy and regular at the Bullring, passed away in 1998 from lung complications after a random shooting in 1997. Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:20 with racing at 7:15. General admission is $11 for adults, $9 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $4 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $24. Admission to the Stockyard is $36 per vehicle (up to four people).
