The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host the Dog Days of Summer event as part of Craftsman Night for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Saturday night. The Animal Foundation will be on hand with dogs up for adoption. The NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series returns after a four-week break in race action. Super Late Models (50 laps), Late Models (25 laps), Chargers (25 laps), Legends Cars (25 laps), Thunder Roadsters (25 laps), Bandolero Cars (15 laps) and 7-Eleven Bullring Bombers (40 laps) are on the racing card. The point battles heat up as Tom Youmans holds a five-point lead over Phil Goodwin in the Charger division and Jimmy Parker Jr. leads Taylor Barton by seven points in the Pro Legends Cars division. Other point leaders include Mike Ray (Super Late Models, 10 points over Mike Cofer), Doug Hamm (Late Models), Rick Rogas (Master Legends Cars), Dustin Ash (Semi-Pro Legends Cars), Dave Green (Thunder Roadsters), Jeremiah Wagner (Bandolero Cars) and Wade Pearson (7-Eleven Bullring Bombers). Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:20 p.m. with racing at 7:15. General admission is $11 for adults, $9 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $4 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $24. Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members.
