One week after seeing some of the world¿s fastest open-wheel cars and trucks race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Bullring will get into the act with the annual Open Wheel Extravaganza this Saturday. SRL Supermodifieds, Sudden Impact Auto Body IMCA Modifieds, ASA Speed Trucks and Thunder Roadsters are all on the racing card this weekend. The SRL Supermodifieds are the fastest cars to run on the Bullring track reaching speeds of 120 miles per hour on the straights. The supermodifieds will compete in a 40-lap feature event. The Sudden Impact Auto Body IMCA Modifieds will wrap up their 2004 points season with a 50-lap feature event. Only 15 points separate Stoney Gray from C.J. Scherkenbach in the championship standings. The ASA Speed Truck Challenge presented by makes its fourth appearance of 2004 at the Bullring with a 15-lap B-Feature and 75-lap main event. Lee Hatch of Covina, Calif., is looking to sweep the Las Vegas swing in the series after winning the previous three races. The Thunder Roadsters will compete in a 25-lap feature event. Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:15 with racing at 7:15. General admission is $15 for adults and $4 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. Admission to the Stockyard is $50 per vehicle (up to four people).
