Stafford named manager of competition for the Bullring at LVMS

Mike Stafford, who has spent the past five years as chief technical inspector at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, has been named manager of competition for the 3/8-mile short track.

"Mike has been a key member of the Bullring staff for several years," said Chris Powell, LVMS general manager. "He has a vast knowledge of the local stock car racing scene and is well respected in the racing community."

In addition to his inspection duties, Stafford has been the Bullring¿s race director for the past two years. The 42-year old Stafford also has been behind the wheel having competed in the hobby stock classes at both Craig Road Speedway and Irwindale Speedway.

"I am really looking forward to this opportunity," Stafford said. "I have learned a lot over the past five years at the Bullring. We have a wonderful facility, a great staff, great fans and some of the best short-track racing in the country. I am just happy to be a part of it."

The Bullring will begin its 2005 season on April 9.
