Three drivers who compete in the Super Late Model series at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be participating in Nevada Reading Week on Wednesday, March 1 and Thursday, March 2. This special week, February 27 to March 3, was established in 1975 to encourage children to read for pleasure as well as for gaining knowledge. Super Late Model driver Billy Mitchell will be attending Kay Carl Elementary School on Wednesday, March 1, at 11:20 a.m. Mitchell says that it is events like these that can really make a difference in the world. "I think kids are great," said Mitchell. "In today's society if we can show them that reading is cool and school is cool then I'm all for it." Dustin Ash and LVMS mascot Pit Boss will be on hand at Brookman Elementary School on Thursday, March 2, at 2 p.m. Ash will share a story with the children and will have his race car on display. Ash is the 2005 Legends Pro champion at the Bullring and also won the 2005 Late Model Rookie-of-the-Year title. Taylor Barton, 2005 Super Late Model Rookie of the Year, also will participate in Nevada's Reading Week at Kermit R.
