The Faster Pastor race and food drive will return once again to the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday as part of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. Church leaders from around the Las Vegas Valley will compete in the 7-Eleven Bullring Bombers for bragging rights and to raise food donations for local charities. The 20-lap feature lineup will be determined by the number of non-perishable food items donated by each church. Church members and race fans are encouraged to bring food donations to the track. Collection tables identifying each church will be set up. All food donations will be given back to each church to be donated to its selected charities. Headlining Saturday's race will be a 50-lap feature for the Super Late Models. Joining the Super Late Models will be the Chargers, Legends Cars, Thunder Roadsters, and Bandoleros. The Pro-4 cars will also be making their first appearance to the Bullring this season. Pro-4 cars are slightly smaller than the Super Late Models, which allows for more side-by-side racing. The cars run on a four-cylinder engine, and have an average racing speed of about 90 miles per hour. Race fans that bring canned goods will receive a $2 discount on adult admission. Spectator gates will open at 5 p.m. Qualifying is scheduled for 6 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. General adult admission is $10 with a valid Nevada driver's license for adults. Admission for senior citizens and military personnel with ID is $8. Children 6-12 are $5. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack may be purchased for $26.
