Scott Gafforini drove his No. 38 Magoo's Gaming Group Super Late Model to victory lane after the 50-lap Super Late Model feature at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday during the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. Travis Swalwell of Las Vegas was the fast qualifier and won the Super Late Model Dash for Cash. Gafforini started on the pole after a five-car invert and dominated the race taking his fourth checkered of the season. Swalwell was second followed by Alex Haase. Thane Alderman and Tom Lovelady were fourth and fifth. Late Model driver Doug Matter took his first checkered flag. Chris Bray was the fast qualifier. Fred Kiser, Jr. started on the pole after a five-car invert but lost the lead on the first lap when Doug Hamm made a pass on the backstretch. Matter made a pass for the lead on lap 24 and led the remainder of the race taking the checkered flag. Doug Hamm and Fred Kiser, Jr. finished second and third. John Spilatro was fourth followed by Jace Meier. "We moved up from the Charger to the Late Model a couple of years ago and these drivers have been great to me," said Matter. "This first win means a lot." IMCA Modified driver Joey Mogar won his first feature. Michael Morrissey finished second followed by Scott Osborn and Kenny Thompson. Pat Petrie was fifth. "The car ran great all night but the motor was getting hot," said Mogar. "We are shaving my crew chief's head tonight. The deal was he would do it after my first win." Charger driver Steve Dessormeau won his first feature of the season. Joe Crouch and Brian Matzke finished second and third. Jim Petrie was fourth followed by Mike Heck. Blake Leuth captured his third Bandolero Bandit feature of the season. Jacob Bishop finished second. Tyler Fabozzi and Jeremy Birch finished third and fourth. Jack Madrid was fifth. Mitchell Taylor took the checkered flag at the conclusion of the Bandolero Young Guns feature. Greysen Weaver finished second. Jimmy Rouse and Brecken Snow finished third and fourth. Ryan Bragdon was fifth. Thunder Roadster driver Jovon Halen won his fourth feature of the season. Johan Timmer and Ed Hohman finished second and third. Bobby Ruppert was fourth followed by John Thompson. Gary Wyatt won his first 7-Eleven Bullring Bomber feature of the season. Kevin Gantz and Larry Dittman finished second and third.
