Racing will return to the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 31. The 2007 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season will feature 20 Super Late Model feature races on 19 event nights between March 31 and Oct. 6. Seventeen of the events will be held on Saturday nights with the exception of the Tuesday, July 3 Night of Fire and the Wednesday, August 8 Midweek Madness special. "With recently announced changes to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series points structure, we had to revise our original schedule plan for 2007," said Chris Blair, LVMS' vice president of racing operations. "The Bullring staff of track manager Mike Stafford and promotions coordinator Marston Maddox are in the process of coming up with new and creative ideas to produce an exciting season of NASCAR racing action." The racing season will include regularly scheduled action for Super Late Models, Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Chargers, Legends, Bombers and Bandoleros as well as several special touring programs to be announced. Racer registration forms, purse payout information and a detailed schedule of event dates will be released on Monday, Jan. 22. "We have several meetings scheduled with a variety of sanctioning groups and sponsors in the next two weeks," continued Blair. "We will be releasing a schedule that will be entertaining and exciting for our fans while also being consistent for the racers who support the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series."
