Las Vegas native Kyle Busch will come home to race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway's 3/8-mile paved oval - the Bullring - for three races during the 2007 NASCAR Whelen All American Series.  Busch, now a NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver, is scheduled to compete at the Bullring July 3, Aug. 8 and the Nov. 9-10 Fall Classic.  Kyle and his older brother, Kurt, raced at the Bullring in their younger years.

"The biggest thing here is that we're going to come out and race in the Super Late Model division here at Las Vegas later this summer," said Kyle.  "I'm excited to be able to make my return and I'm looking forward to that.  Hoping July 3 will be the first race, and we're also looking at the race in August and the Fall Classic."

"Last night we launched our fan club event, which was a great opportunity to meet some local fans.  It was the first time we ever did anything like that. It's been great to meet some of the people and interact with them a little bit more."

"The third thing is that Kyle Busch Motorsports will be sponsoring a car in the NASCAR Grand National West Division with my driver Alex Haas.  Alex will drive the No. 84 Kyle Busch Motorsports Chevrolet.  The biggest thing with Alex is that our families have been friends for 25 years.  I've known Alex since we started running out at the Bullring together.  I remember during one of his first races he rolled over and flipped.  He was a little shaken up, but all he wanted to know was what it was going to take to get the thing back out on the race track.  That made me think he was really ready to do this.  He's won in Legends Cars, he's won in Super Late Models, so I think he's going to do really well.  I'm helping him out with his Late Model and we're going to have a test session pretty soon to get ready."

"I was doing an interview the other day and someone asked me about Kyle, Kurt and Brendan Gaughan, the most well-known racers from Las Vegas, but  I also mentioned Alex," said Chris Powell, LVMS' general manager. "He's a great competitor at the Bullring.  For Kyle to come back to his roots and race at the Bullring is great. The Bullring is the grassroots of NASCAR.  The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway wasn't really the Bullring until Kyle came along because Kurt won everything, so not until Kyle came along did we have really great racing there.  We're indebted to Kyle for coming back to compete at the Bullring this summer."

"It's definitely going to be pretty cool," said Haas.  "There are a lot of young racers out there and for Kyle to pick me to run in the Grand National series is awesome.  I'm going to have a good team and a good car, and now I just have to prove myself."
