Veteran announcer and sound engineer Chet Christner has joined the announcing staff at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Christner, 39, is a native of Frostburg, Maryland, and currently teaches geography in the Henderson school system.  Over the past 11 years, Chet has worked as a live sound engineer and also has announced boxing matches, truck-and-tractor pulls and stock car racing (at Pahrump Valley Speedway).

Chet's first announcing assignment was last month's Day After The Duel at LVMS' dirt oval.  He joins LVMS' local drag strip and short track announcing team of Nathan Hirschi, Dan Lea and George Antill.
