For the first time, Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s annual Night of Fire will host more than just your average jet car burn. The speedway is inviting fans to participate in the event through the Burn, Baby Burn! contest by donating items they would like to burn during the annual jet car burn. A jet car burn is the total destruction of a junk automobile by blasting it with the jet car’s engine. All that remains is a smoking hulk when the jet car is finished with its victim.

LVMS is asking fans to submit photos of their former spouses, old love letters, tacky home accessories and any other interesting items they would like to see go up in smoke. The fan who donates the most unique item will win two free 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tickets and will be recognized on the finish line during the Night of Fire.

Fans may submit all items at the LVMS administrative offices until Wednesday, June 30. LVMS is located at 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please contact Aubrey Hall at 702-632-8251 or .
