Mark Cook of LaGrange, Ohio, today won the final round of Super Pro competition to complete Saturday's round of the rain-delayed Wild, Wild West Thanksgiving Classic at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  The second rounds of Super Pro and Pro drag racing had just been completed on Saturday evening when rain again fell on The Strip.  The rain, coupled with falling temperatures, caused Saturday's race to be continued on Sunday morning.  Saturday's and Sunday's Jerry's Nugget Casino Run for the Money races were combined into one event.

Neil Evans of Las Vegas, driving a '79 Chevrolet LUV sponsored by First Gear Transmissions and Michael's Signs, defeated Matt Paulin of Melba, Ida., to claim the $1,000 first prize in Saturday's Pro finale.

The combined Saturday-Sunday Jerry's Nugget Casino Run for the Money event, which included additional purse money from Jerry Mock and Write-On Window Markers, was won by Jeff Dewey of Twin Falls, Ida. (Super Pro) and Tom Easterday of Fullerton, Calif. (Pro).
