Project Mayhem, the award-winning sport motorcycle stunt team, will return to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the second annual Turbos By Garrett NHRA Sport Compact Nationals July 16-17.  The Las Vegas-based stunt team will be a featured act at the event while making their first appearance of 2004 at The Strip.  Project Mayhem will perform three shows during the two-day event.

"Project Mayhem made their live event debut at The Strip two years ago, and since that time, have toured the country performing at a variety of motorsports venues," said Chris Blair, LVMS senior director of drag racing operations. "It has been nearly a year since Project Mayhem pulled out all the stops in front of their hometown crowd, so we expect lots of wheelies, smoke, blown tires and destroyed bikes for this performance."

Project Mayhem recently released their second full-length feature DVD (Project Mayhem: California) and are excited to return to the track where they launched their careers.

"We participated in last year's Sport Compact Nationals and the crowd response was absolutely incredible," said Project Mayhem coordinator John Busbee. "Our guys are excited about this event and have been coming up with new material to drive the crowd wild. The wilder they get, the crazier we get -- you never know what might happen."

The event also will feature hourly performances on Saturday evening by the Hell-on-Wheels BMX Team. Hell on Wheels will performance in a special area in the middle of the NHRA Stylefest arena where they will perform bicycle acrobatics and a wide variety of stunts.
