The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway took a well-deserved weekend off following an incredibly-successful NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals on April 16-18. The Strip’s catnap is short-lived as America's Greatest Drag Strip prepares for six consecutive weekends of drag racing action, beginning Friday evening.

Drag racing resumes Friday with a Test ‘n’ Tune session, followed by Dodge Midnight Mayhem. On Saturday, the Pacific Street Car Association (PSCA, www.pscaracing.com) roars into Las Vegas with the inaugural K&N Filters Racin' 4 Jason Nationals.  In addition to the PSCA’s infamous 230-mph Pro Street Cars, the event also will debut the inaugural PSCA Lucas Oil Car Show Series event.

Mother's Day Weekend (May 8-9) brings the Short Line Express Markets/Chevron Jr. Dragster Series and Wicked HP Championship Drag Racing Series (for adult bracket racers) – not to mention the first-ever NHRA Nevada State Champion event (May 8). The four NHRA Nevada state champions will return Sunday morning (May 9) to face off against the 2009 Strip at LVMS track champions in the annual NHRA King-of-the-Track competition.

May 15-16 offers two days of Short Line Express Market/Chevron Jr. Drag Racing Series events as well as the first Street War meet of the 2010 season.

Dodge Midnight Mayhem – The Strip’s safe alternative to illegal street racing – resumes on Friday, May 21, followed by the Wicked HP Championship Drag Racing Series on Saturday, May 22.

Memorial Day Weekend is heralds the return of the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series, coupled with the Rockabilly Rod Reunion. The weekend of nostalgia cars, hot rods, custom cars, music, contest and drag racing will feature NHRA star Ron Capps behind the wheel of Steve Plueger's L.A. Hooker nostalgia nitro funny car against a stellar field of entries, including McCain's Bomb Squad, the Jolly Roger Camaro and the Lil' Nate Monza.

The long stretch of racing action concludes on the first weekend of June with another edition of Dodge Midnight Mayhem (June 4) and three events over two days for the Jr. Dragster June 5-6).
