  • Feb. 22 -- Grader operator Kody Rudder makes laps around LVMS' half-mile Dirt Track in preparation for the March 7-8 events. More than 700 loads of clay have been hauled to LVMS by Werdco Trucking. The dirt was then screened twice and applied to the racing surface. The track crew is currently spraying more than 50,000 gallons of water per day in preparation for the upcoming events. In the Spring, the track will finish construction on a 1/5- mile oval, designed by Ventura Raceway operator Jim Naylor. The 1/5-mile oval will host Midgets, Micro-Sprints, Go Karts, motorcycles and Dirt Modified Legend Cars.
