A limited number of bleacher seats and public suite passes are all that remain for the March 2 UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Track officials announced Monday that the speedway¿s permanent grandstand is a sellout, with the exception of a few single seats in the section outside Turns 3 and 4.

¿We¿re well ahead of the pace from any of the previous five years,¿ said Chris Powell, LVMS president and general manager. ¿It¿s a testament to the strength of NASCAR racing as well as the excellent overall experience that people enjoy when they come to Las Vegas for a major motorsports event.  Fans have bought more than 120,000 tickets already, and that¿s encouraging in the face of a difficult economy.

¿Additionally, we¿re confident of setting an attendance mark for the Sam¿s Town 300 Busch Series event on Saturday, March 1.¿

While the permanent grandstand is virtually sold out, race fans still have opportunities to buy tickets for this year¿s race.

A few Suite Deal tickets ¿ sold on an individual basis to the general public ¿ remain.  Suite Deals allow race fans to enjoy Friday¿s qualifying and the races on Saturday and Sunday from a luxury suite that includes food and beverages.

The other option is the speedway¿s Triple Play package, an $88 ticket that affords fans three races for the price of one. Triple Play ticket holders receive a seat in the Turn 3 bleachers for the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400, a general-admission ticket to the Sam¿s Town 300 and a general-admission ticket to the Sept. 27 Las Vegas 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event.

To purchase suite passes or the Triple Play ticket, fans can call the speedway¿s ticket office at 1-800-644-4444 or log on to www.lvms.com.
