NASCAR Winston Cup Series star Jimmie Johnson has joined a growing list of NASCAR drivers who will appear in Las Vegas Motor Speedway¿s SpeedZone Fan Hospitality Area during the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400/Sam¿s Town 300 NASCAR Weekend.

            Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Lowe¿s Home Improvement Warehouse Chevrolet, will appear Sunday, March 2. He joins NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the Sunday lineup. Earnhardt will appear at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning. In addition, four-time winner and Las Vegan Kurt Busch, 1989 NASCAR Winston Cup champion Rusty Wallace and several standouts from the NASCAR Busch Series will appear on Saturday in SpeedZone.

            Johnson will spend 15 minutes in the hospitality area answering questions from fans who purchase the Speed Zone package.  In addition to the drivers appearances, SpeedZone attendees will receive a pre-race pit tour, continental breakfast, lunch entrée, dessert, a preferred parking pass, a closed circuit TV feed of the racing action and non-alcoholic beverages.

            A two-day SpeedZone package is available for $149. Daily cost of the SpeedZone is $79 on Saturday, March 1 and $99 on Sunday, March 2. Race fans can purchase the SpeedZone by calling the speedway at 1-800-644-4444 ext. 8285.
