You might say that Nextel Cup driver Greg Biffle is a little more excited about testing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway than most. Biffle, along with many other Nextel Cup drivers, will be testing the Fusion, Ford's newest Nextel Cup Vehicle. With the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 coming up in March, and so many tracks on the NASCAR circuit being similar to LVMS, Biffle says this test will be a new, and hopefully good, experience. "Hopefully we'll learn a few things that will help us the rest of the season at similar tracks," said Biffle. "We don't really know what to expect with the new car." Though many Nextel Cup drivers will be making changes at the test session, Biffle says their changes won't be with just shocks and struts. "We're also using this test to try out two different types of bodies," said Biffle. "It is likely that what we learn in Vegas will help us determine which type we want to build for the 1.5-mile tracks the rest of the year." Biffle will join more than 40 other drivers at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway January 30-Feb. 1 for NASCAR Preseason Thunder Las Vegas. The public is invited to watch the test sessions free of charge each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets for the March 10-12 NASCAR Weekend are available by calling 1-800-644-4444 or logging on to Here is a tentative list of test dates and drivers: Jan. 30-31: Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Robby Gordon, Jeff Green, Kevin Harvick, Dale Jarrett, Travis Kvapil, Mark Martin, Jamie McMurray, Elliott Sadler, Hermie Sadler, Ken Schrader, Brent Sherman, Reed Sorenson, David Stremme, Martin Truex Jr. and Scott Wimmer.
