"The King of Rock and Roll" and "The Material Girl" have played on some of the biggest stages around the world, and come March they'll be adding the center stage of the Neon Garage to their resumes. Elvis Presley, Madonna and many of the biggest names in the music industry have signed on to entertain race fans in the Neon Garage, Las Vegas Motor Speedway's newest attraction. The performers - or a reasonable impersonator thereof - will be on stage throughout the March 9-11, 2007 NASCAR Weekend. "We knew the Neon Garage would be big, but this goes beyond everyone's wildest expectations," said Chris Powell, LVMS general manager. "There will be about 10 Grammy winners on the stage throughout the weekend. We've got pop, rock 'n' roll and country music stars performing on the same stage. It's like Live Aid with bigger stars." These legends of the music industry will join Blue Man Group and the Sirens of the TI among the acts confirmed for performing in the Neon Garage. "We've been saying since last March that this is going to be the most anticipated event ever at the speedway," Powell said. "The announcement of all these big acts that will be performing in our infield - not to mention the great stars of the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series who will be racing on our new high-banked superspeedway - will make this an event no one will forget." Passes for the Neon Garage and pre-race activities as well as race tickets are available through the LVMS ticket office by calling 1-800-644-4444 or logging on to www.lvms.com.
