Full slate of racing on tap for Chris Trickle Classic at The Bullring
Engines will be roaring and the rubber flying during a full night of racing at the Chris Trickle Classic at The Bullring on Saturday.
The 3/8-mile track will feature eight classes of competition on the special evening, which will include an hour-long, on-track autograph session from 6-6:45 p.m. Pacific Time. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event is named in honor of Chris Trickle, who passed away at the age of 25 in 1998 due to injuries suffered in a still unsolved drive-by shooting.
A number of pre-race activities for children are planned in addition to the autograph session, including table games and a balloon artist, and 102.7 FM The Coyote's Melissa T. will broadcast live from the track from 5-7 p.m. Fans can also pick up free gifts and prizes at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway booth, as well as free tickets to the Oct. 3 Rhino Linings 350 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.
Spectators will be treated to a great schedule of races that starts with a pair of eight-lap NASCAR Super Stock heats and follows with two 12-lap USLCI O'Hanley's Bandolero features. USLCI Thunder Cars, NASCAR Bombers, NASCAR Grand American Modifieds, USLCI Legends and NASCAR Super Stock features will come next, and a 70-lap NASCAR Super Late Model feature will close the night's program.
The Chris Trickle Classic is the seventh of 13 regular-season racing weekends at the LVMS short track, and the annual Night of Fire will follow on Friday, July 3. That highly popular night will include waterless boat races, the introduction of skid-plate racing and fireworks as part of an action-packed schedule.
One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring's annual series will feature family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing admission tickets in advance by visiting or calling the LVMS ticket office at 702.644.4444 or online at LVMS.com.
Gates open for spectators at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, opening ceremonies are set for 7 p.m. and racing follows immediately.
