LVMS, Nevada Department of Public Safety to host inaugural Show & Shine car show
Las Vegas Motor Speedway, in cooperation with the Nevada Department of Public Safety, is hosting the inaugural Show & Shine car show at The Bullring on Saturday, Aug. 22.
The show, which will run from noon to 4 p.m. Pacific Time, will benefit the Las Vegas chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. Various area car clubs are expected to participate in the event, which will precede a full night of racing at LVMS' 3/8-mile paved oval.
Admission for the public is free for the car show, and there will be food trucks, live music, a kids' zone, giveaways and much more at the track throughout the day. Pre-registration for the show ends on Friday, Aug. 7, and anyone interested entering the competition can find more information here.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 25 vehicles, and a select group of five "Best in Show" winners will be chosen by a special panel of judges. All proceeds from entry fees will benefit the charity, and participants will each receive four passes to attend the races later that night.
The Bullring's concession stand offers $2 hot dogs, $2 Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer on each NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race night. For more information on all events at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, please visit www.LVMS.com and follow LVMS on Facebook and Twitter.
