NASCAR Next selection Gragson to compete at The Bullring on Saturday
Fresh off his selection for the NASCAR Next class of 2016-17, Las Vegas' Noah Gragson will compete at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.
Gragson, recently tabbed as a young star to watch by the sport's top sanctioning body, will be part of a stacked NASCAR Super Late Models field at the 3/8-mile paved oval at the Chris Trickle Classic on Saturday night. Gragson, the 2015 K&N Pro Series West Rookie of the Year and points runner-up, will race in both NASCAR Super Late Models 35-lap features.
Gragson will compete in the ARCA Racing Series' General Tire #AnythingIsPossible 200 at Pocono Raceway on Friday before returning to Las Vegas to participate in the Chris Trickle Classic. The 17-year-old has 12 career Saturday night victories at The Bullring, including two NASCAR Super Late Models wins this season.
He will join six-time track champion Scott Gafforini, Chris Trickle - the nephew of the late Chris Trickle for which the evening is named - 45-time Bullring winner Justin Johnson and more in a competitive lineup for both races. The race night will honor the memory of the late Chris Trickle, who died in 1998 after being the victim of a still unsolved drive-by shooting the previous year.
In addition to the NASCAR Super Late Models twin 35s, the night's 10-race schedule includes two NASCAR Super Stocks features, as well as action in the NASCAR Bombers and Grand American Modifieds divisions and the USLCI Legends, Thunder Cars and Bandoleros classes. Gates open for fans at 5 p.m. Pacific Time, an on-track autograph session follows from 6-6:45, and racing begins at 7.
One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring features family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing tickets in advance by visiting or calling the LVMS ticket office at 702.644.4444 or going online at LVMS.com.
