LVMS Construction Update (May 30-June 2)

Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Public Relations Department will be providing weekly construction updates as the speedway undergoes its multi-million dollar facelift, which will result in a new fan interactive garage area, a pit road closer to the grandstands, resurfaced and re-banked racing surface and state-of-the-art media center.

In the past week, construction crews have completed the following tasks:

Finished grading the banking in turns 1 and 2 and began the process of grading the banking in turns 3 and 4.

Completed the outer retaining wall around the entire superspeedway. Work has begun on the inside retaining wall.

All concrete has been poured for the pit boxes on the new pit road.

Completed the building pad for the new media center and started the foundation for the NASCAR Busch Series garage.

Finished all grading for the new ¼-mile Legends oval.
