The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway kicks off the big South Point 400 NASCAR weekend with the Star Nursery 150 ARCA Menards Series West race at the fast 3/8-mile paved oval this Thursday night with many of the West Coast’s top drivers returning to the popular short track.

 

Known as the “Battle at the Bullring,” the Star Nursery 150 brings the brightest young stars of in stock car racing to Sin City for its annual action at LVMS.

 

Defending ARCA Menards Series West champion Jesse Love of Redwood City, Calif., leads the stellar field this Thursday with his well-known No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts/Bill McAnally Racing Toyota, as the young driver seeks his second straight series title with a 19-point lead in the series standings.

 

Love, a two-time race winner in 2021, will be taking on the likes of Jake Drew of Fullerton, Calif., P.J.

Pedronelli of Sonoma, Calif., Cole Moore of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Joey Iest of Madera, Calif. Local teenage driver Kyle Keller of Las Vegas will be in the field Thursday, driving No. 5 BBR-Eros Environmental-Mojave Construction Ford for car owner Jerry Pitts.

 

In addition to the 150-lap ARCA feature, local Bullring competitors from the NASCAR Power Grade Inc. Modifieds, the Signa Performance Service Pro Late Models and the JBM Underground/M&H Building Specialists Legends will be in action Thursday evening with series championships on the line.

 

Multi-time Bullring series champion Doug Hamm of Las Vegas will lead the Modified field after his victory last Saturday night with his popular No. 4X machine as the veteran racer takes on the likes of Justin Johnson, Kyle and Sam Jacks, Jaron Gianinni and Kayli Barker.

 

Look for Foothill High School student Tanner Reif of Henderson to be the favorite in the Pro Late Model division with in his No. 43 Boulder Boats/Undaunted Apparel stock car after four wins and four runner-up finishes in 2021. Reif will have his hands full with drivers like Jeffrey Peterson, Scott Gafforini, Justin Johnson and Reif’s 14-year-old younger brother, Tyler.

 

Tyler Reif figures to be the favorite in the JBM Underground/M&H Building Specialists Legends feature Thursday after his impressive win last Saturday in his No. 7 mount. But watch for the likes of Dustin Ash, Jordon Holloway, Cody Brown, Amileo Thomson, Enzo Lalama and Tanner Reif to race for the lead.

 

The opening night of the big South Point 400 NASCAR weekend at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway have tickets priced at $35.00 for the big short track action.
