The thrill of NASCAR is coming to life for fans and locals alike as “Laps for Charity Under the Lights” returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Friday, September 5, 2025. From 8 to 11 p.m., drivers will have the chance to take their own vehicles around the 1.5-mile speedway at night all while raising funds for local children’s charities through Speedway Children’s Charities.

Participants can experience up to seven laps behind a pace car at speeds near 75 miles per hour. The standard package, priced at $75, includes five continuous laps, while the $100 VIP experience offers seven laps along with access to an express lane for minimal wait time. Registration must be completed in advance, as no onsite sign-ups will be accepted.

“There’s nothing quite like the rush of driving under the lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway,” said Paulette Anderson, Director of Speedway Children’s Charities Las Vegas Chapter. “It’s an unforgettable experience that brings the community together for a great cause, and every lap makes a difference in a child’s life.”

All drivers must be at least 18 years old and present a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Only street-legal vehicles are permitted on the track, and while motorcycles, trikes, and ATVs are not allowed, drivers may bring passengers as long as there are seatbelts available for each rider. Children riding in the vehicle must be at least six years old.
