Las Vegas Motor Speedway will kick off NASCAR weekend with the return of FREE FRIDAY on Friday, October 2, giving fans a full day of entertainment and activities before the weekend’s racing gets underway. The annual event lets fans visit the Speedway and soak up the NASCAR weekend atmosphere early.
Admission to the superspeedway activities will be free, with the Fan Zone opening at 10 A.M. Fans can enjoy live music, carnival rides, the Budweiser Clydesdales and free beer at the South Point display, while supplies last. The Fan Zone will provide an early start to the weekend for fans looking to spend the day at the track and take in the sights and sounds surrounding NASCAR’s return to Las Vegas.
At 2 P.M., fans can line the route as the NASCAR Cup Series Hauler Parade makes its way through Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Featuring the haulers carrying the teams’ cars and equipment, the parade marks the arrival of the Cup Series teams ahead of Sunday’s South Point 400 and gives fans an early glimpse at the teams preparing for race weekend.
“FREE FRIDAY is a great way for fans to start their NASCAR weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway,” said Patrick Lindsey, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “Fans can come out early, enjoy the Fan Zone and Hauler Parade, and then make a night of it with the racing at The Bullring. It’s a great way to get the weekend started.”
The afternoon will conclude with a night of racing at The Bullring with the Kyle Busch Classic presented by Star Nursery. A separate admission ticket is required for this event, which will feature CARS Tour West and ARCA West on the Speedway’s historic 3/8-mile track. Gates open at 4 P.M., with racing scheduled to begin at 6 P.M., allowing fans to continue their NASCAR weekend with a night of grassroots racing.
