The holiday spirit is shining bright at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as Speedway Children's Charities invites the community to take part in the 12th Annual PJ 5K Run & 1-Mile Walk through Glittering Lights on Sunday, November 16, from 4:30 P.M. to 6 P.M.
Participants of all ages can walk, run, push strollers, or bring their dogs (on leashes) through Nevada's premier drive-thru light show, all while dressed in their favorite pajamas! Whether you choose flannels, festive onesies, or a fun pajama theme, this family-friendly event is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season while supporting children in need across Southern Nevada.
This year's celebration is extra special as Glittering Lights marks its 25th anniversary, featuring more than five million dazzling LED lights illuminating the speedway with festive brilliance. After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy cookies and milk to celebrate their accomplishment in true holiday fashion.
All participants will receive a race bib and a finisher's medal, and awards will be presented to the Top Overall Female and Male finishers. Local mascots and superheroes will also join the festivities for photos and a fun time.
Registration prices range from $15 to $35 and will increase on the day of the event. Children five years old and younger participate for free, and the event will take place rain or shine, with no refunds due to weather.
As part of SCC's mission to give back, participants are encouraged to bring a new pair of children's pajamas to donate. Each donation enters participants into a drawing to win two tickets to the 2026 NASCAR race weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in March.
All proceeds from the event benefit Speedway Children's Charities – Las Vegas Chapter, which provides funding to local nonprofit organizations that assist children with educational, medical, and financial needs.
