Las Vegas Motor Speedway is ringing in the new year with key promotions and two additional positions as it prepares for one of its best seasons ever.
Aaron Crowley has been promoted to vice president of sales, and Patrick Lang has been named business development executive. The speedway also announced the hiring of Jill Frischmann as director of corporate events and business development and Jose Guerrero as communications manager.
“These staff enhancements have made us better,” said LVMS President Chris Powell. “Aaron and Patrick have been here for many years and have excelled in their roles, so it’s exciting to be able to promote from within to these two key positions. Jill brings a wealth of motorsports and sales knowledge to our group and will strengthen our sales team. Jose is a Las Vegas native who possesses both strong communication skills as well as an intimate knowledge of our local media landscape.”
Crowley is a native of St. Paul, Minn., and UNLV graduate. He has worked as a senior manager of business development at LVMS since 2008. He was instrumental in bringing the Electric Daisy Carnival to Las Vegas in 2011 as well as spearheading the speedway’s relationship with Pennzoil, which sponsors the March 6 NASCAR Cup Series race. Before joining LVMS, Crowley spent seven years in radio sales for Clear Channel Radio in both Las Vegas and the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Crowley will manage the six-person sales staff as well as maintain oversight of many key speedway accounts.
Lang, also a UNLV graduate, came to the speedway in 2014 and has worked in several roles within the sales department, including sponsor fulfillment and track rentals. Lang will be responsible for securing and managing new and existing accounts.
Frischmann, a Wisconsin native and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, joins the LVMS team after a lengthy career in motorsports marketing, public relations, promotions and sales. In mid-2021, she relocated to Las Vegas where she focused her attention on supporting the digital and social media needs of small businesses around the United States. Frischmann will be responsible for sponsor fulfillment and the speedway’s robust track rental calendar.
Guerrero, a native of Las Vegas and UNLV alumnus, joins LVMS after serving in various marketing and communications roles in the Las Vegas hotel and casino industry, most recently as digital marketing manager at the Sahara Hotel and Casino. Guerrero will manage various aspects of the speedway’s communications strategy as well as support events at LVMS’s sister speedway in Sonoma, Calif. Guerrero also will play a key role in the speedway’s expanding role in the Hispanic community.
