Kyle Busch, Daniel Hemric and Tyler Reddick are among the list of NASCAR stars and celebrities expected to participate in the inaugural Brendan Gaughan Celebrity Bowling Classic at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa on Thursday, Sept. 12.

The first-year event will help kick off Las Vegas Motor Speedway's South Point 400 tripleheader NASCAR weekend, which will run Sept. 13-15 at the 1.5-mile track. Fans in town for the races can purchase spots in the bowling tournament for $250, a fee that includes the chance to meet and bowl with NASCAR drivers and industry celebrities while raising money for a great cause.

Kevin Harvick will attend the event as a special non-bowling VIP, and drivers Austin Dillon, Noah Gragson and B.J. McLeod have committed to join host Gaughan as bowlers. Former MTV VJ Riki Rachtman and Amy Long and Jose Casillo from NASCAR's Trackside Live show also are participating in the tournament.

Proceeds from the tournament - which will take place at South Point's Tournament Bowling Plaza - will benefit the Las Vegas chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. Participants and attendees can take part in silent and live auctions, where they can bid on NASCAR stars to be their bowling teammates for the night.

"I can't wait to host this event at the South Point, and we're going to have a great time and raise money for children in need in our community," Gaughan said. "We have a state-of-the-art bowling center that will be the perfect place for this type of tournament, and I'm excited that Kyle, Daniel and Tyler and so many of my NASCAR friends are coming out for it. I encourage NASCAR fans to come out and bowl, have a blast and get the South Point 400 weekend started in a great way."

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Pacific Time, with silent and live auctions taking place before bowling begins at 8 p.m. Awards will be presented at approximately 9:30 p.m., and there will be plenty of activities for bowlers and fans to enjoy.

A select number of spectator tickets will be sold for the arena-style seating at the Tournament Bowling Plaza for fans who want to attend, and participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, drinks and a NASCAR driver or celebrity as a bowling partner. Registration is now open for bowlers, who may sign up for the tournament as a team of four or as individuals.

The South Point 400 - set for Sunday, Sept. 15 - will launch the beginning of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs for the second consecutive year at the 1.5-mile speedway. It will serve as the anchor for LVMS's second NASCAR tripleheader of the weekend, with the World of Westgate 200 Gander Outdoors Truck Series race taking place on Friday, Sept. 13 and the Las Vegas 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race running on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Various ticket packages, fun extras and special-access passes for LVMS's events are available at www.lvms.com or by calling 1-800-644-4444.
