The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be a hotbed of activity yet again in 2017.
The 3/8-mile paved oval will host 15 racing weekends throughout the course of the year, with a number of theme nights continuing at the beloved short track. Action kicks off on Saturday, March 25, with the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series opening night and runs through Saturday, Nov. 18, when the West Coast Short Track Championships return to Las Vegas.
The track will host a number of theme nights that will include an array of special guests, extra activities, giveaways and surprises for fans. Fans can enjoy special evenings like Hometown Heroes Night (May 8), Pack the Track Night (May 13), Military Appreciation Night (May 20) and the Chris Trickle Classic (June 3), just to name a few.
In addition, the North American Big Rig Racing series returns on April 22 and will be preceded by a truck show hosted by the American Truck Historical Society's Southern Nevada chapter. The wildly popular Night of Fire is set for Monday, July 3, and Championship Night will be Oct. 7.
The track - which will mark its 17th year of racing with its current configuration in 2017 - will take a break after the Night of Fire to avoid the summer heat and will return to action on Aug. 26 for Back to School Night. The Bullring will also hold the US Legends Asphalt Nationals Oct. 12-15 and The Senator's Cup Fall Classic - hosted by U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-Nev.) - Oct. 20-21.
LVMS will honor The Bullring's 2016 champions at the track's annual awards banquet on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall. Anyone interested in attending the event should call 702-632-8059 by Feb. 3, and no tickets will be sold at the door.
