Speedway Children’s Charities spread holiday cheer last night by awarding $493,753.26 in grants to 98 local organizations dedicated to supporting children throughout Southern Nevada. The annual grant distribution ceremony was held at the LOCALiQ Digital Center at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The event brought together children, families, and representatives from the recipient organizations. Along with receiving grant support, children were treated to holiday gifts and toys, creating a memorable and joyful experience for all attendees. As a special treat, Santa Claus arrived via Maverick Helicopters to meet and take photos with all the children.
“Each year, we are reminded of the incredible impact these organizations make in our community,” said Las Vegas Motor Speedway General Manager Patrick Lindsey. “Speedway Children’s Charities doesn’t just provide financial support, it fuels hope, inspires opportunities, and changes the trajectory of young lives throughout Southern Nevada. We’re honored to play a part in their mission and to stand alongside so many dedicated partners who believe in brighter futures for our kids.”
Since opening its Las Vegas chapter in 1999, SCC has contributed more than $7 million to local children’s programs. This year, fundraising activities included Laps for Charity events at LVMS, the Drive for Charity Golf Tournament, the Brendan Gaughan Celebrity Blackjack Tournament, and other special events during NASCAR weekends, including live and online auctions, 50/50 raffles, and Track Treasure shops. These efforts continue to help SCC empower youth and strengthen local organizations that improve the lives of children.
Through these grants and ongoing programs, Speedway Children’s Charities continues to make a meaningful impact, helping children across Southern Nevada thrive and reach their full potential.

About Speedway Children’s Charities
At Speedway Children’s Charities, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive—no matter the obstacles they face. SCC is a driving force for change, partnering with local organizations to meet the most pressing needs of children in communities across the country. From supporting kids battling illness to providing resources for those facing adversity at home or in school, our mission is rooted in action and compassion. Since 1982, we’ve distributed over $72 million in grants—$4 million in 2024 alone—ensuring that children in need have the support, care, and opportunities to build brighter futures.
Mission Statement
Speedway Children’s Charities is dedicated to fueling hope and opportunity for children in need. Through strategic funding and community partnerships, we focus on three key areas: providing critical support for vulnerable children facing homelessness, food insecurity, and exploitation; ensuring access to essential medical care, including treatment, therapy, and disability services; and empowering the next generation through education, literacy, and enrichment programs. Our mission is to create a lasting impact, giving every child the chance to lead a healthier, safer, and more successful life.
