10:25 pm - Good Night - That's a wrap on tonight's Star Nursery 100. Please join us tomorrow for continuing coverage of this weekend's events at LVMS. Good night!

10:20 pm - Creed Scores First K&N Victory - After a chaotic start, the first ever K&N Pro Series at the Dirt Track is in the books and it was Sheldon Creed who hoisted the trophy.

Christopher Bell had trouble early and was leading late when he was penalized for jumping a restart. That gave the lead to Creed who held on through a final restart with two laps to go to seal the deal.

"I thought we gave a couple away last year so it's great to come here and finish it off," said Creed, who scored his first series victory.

17-year old Hailie Deegan started from the pole and had to fight mechanical problems that had her car jumping out of gear all night long. During the halfway break, her crew came up with a temporary fix and from there, she patiently made her way back toward the front and tied her career best series finish.

9:50 pm - Sheldon Creed Wins - Creed got off to a great final restart to take the victory in tonight's Star Nursery 100. Hailie Deegan started on the pole and after running in the top 10 most of the night, she came home with a second-place finish. Rounding out the top five were Derek Thorn, Cole Keatts and Brendan Gaughan.

9:48 pm - Green Flag - We go back to green but not for long. We're back under caution for a crash in Turn 2 involving Kraus. Bell, the leader, is being penalized for a restart violation and after driving from the back to front, he's going to the back again.

Up front under caution: Creed, Thorn, Deegan, Gaughan, Rouse.

We'll be going into overtime as we go back to green on Lap 100.

9:35 pm - Back to Green - We have 15 laps to go and Bell continues to lead but Thorn is doing his best to chase him down. Back in the pack Deegan has an anxious moment racing for position in Turn 2 but makes a spectacular save to keep from spinning out.

Lap 88 - Under caution for a spin in Turn 2. It's Vanderwal who goes around but he avoids contact.

9:30 pm - Yellow Flag - We're under caution again on Lap 70. Kofoid has a flat right, rear tire and comes to a stop in Turn 3.

Top 5: Bell, Creed, Thorn, Partridge, Kraus

9:25 pm - Back to Green on Lap 60 - Rouse leads the field to the flag.

Creed takes the lead from Rouse

Lap 62 - After his early race altercation, Bell moves from 4th to 2nd and sets his sights on the lead.

Lap 69 - Give the lead to Bell

9:17 pm - Halfway-ish Caution - Lap 55 - Kraus spins again in Turn 2 and we're under caution for the (approximate halfway) break.

9:10 pm - Back to Green on Lap 43 - We go to back to green flag racing. On Lap 46, leader Kraus spins all by himself and gives up the lead to Rouse. Kraus gets it pointed forward and we stay under green.

Running order: Rouse, Thorn, Creed, Bell, Deegan

9:05 pm - Back to Green on Lap 35... - But not for long. The field gets the green flag and this time we're able to complete four laps before Kofoid spins - this time in Turn 2 - and brings out the caution yet again.

Up front, it's Kraus, Creed, Rouse, Deegan, Partridge.

8:59 pm - Under Caution on Lap 30 - Kofoid spins on the backstretch and stops. We're back under caution with Kraus still leading and followed by Kraus, Deegan, Creed, Partridge, Rouse

8:55 pm - Back to Green - It took a little longer than expected, but we're back to racing on Lap 18.

They're three-wide for the lead going into Turn 3 and Kraus edges Deegan at the line for the lead. Behind them Thorn spins. But we stay green.

Running order on Lap 25, Kraus, Deegan, Creed, Partridge, Rouse

8:40 pm - Red Flag Update - We're about 5 minutes from getting this race back underway. The workers here have done a nice job of putting down some water and the drivers are coming back on the track.

8:20 pm - Red Flag Continues - The drivers that ended up with damage in that melee were Shepherd, Vanderwal, and Thackeray.

Meanwhile all the cars have returned to the paddock and we're taking a short break while track workers wet down the track.

Top 5 on Lap 8 - Deegan, Thorn, Kraus, Partridge, Creed

8:15 pm - Red Flag - We barely got underway before we ended up with a crash in Turn 1 and a red flag condition. A massive cloud of dust emanating from the track when the cars got to speed is the likely cause of the chaos.

8:10 pm - Green Flag - Deegan gets the green flag and before we can get racing, they're stacking up at the start/finish line behind the leaders. Deegan has a good start but seemed to slow suddenly as she crossed the line. The leaders drive away but Kofoid and Bell suffer some damage.

Under caution: Deegan, Kraus, Thorn, Rouse, Partridge.

Back to green on Lap 7

7:45 pm - Race Lineup - Hailie Deegan will lead the field to green tonight. Beside her is Kraus. The rest of the lineup: Thorn, Rouse, Partridge, Creed, Bell, Shepherd, Vanderwal, Huddleston, Gaughan, Keatts, Thackeray, Kofoid, Ward, Reed, Levin, Souza, Kann, Robinson, Spurgeon, DeLong III, Hibbard.

7 pm - Star Nursery 100 Pre-Race Notes - Tonight's race is scheduled for 100 laps, run in two segments of 50 laps each. Bob Bruncati Motorsports drivers lead the point series with four races to go with Derek Thorn enjoying a 25-point lead over Ryan Partridge. Derek Kraus is currently third in the standings, four points behind Partridge and he is the series' most recent winner, coming off a victory at Gateway Motorsports Park.

Las Vegas' own Brendan Gaughan is joining the party tonight with his eye on claiming the inaugural Star Nursery 100 trophy.

We'll get the green flag for tonight's main event at 8:00 pm so stay tuned.
