The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway once again will host a pair of Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events in 2019, the National Hot Rod Association announced Wednesday.

The DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals will take place April 5-7, and the NHRA Nevada Nationals - part of the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship - will be held Oct. 24-27. The Strip at LVMS is one of just three drag strips, along with Pomona, Calif., and Charlotte, that will host two Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events in 2019.

"It's been a big year for The Strip at LVMS, and we could not have asked for a better debut of four-wide racing in Las Vegas in April with sold-out crowds on both Saturday and Sunday," LVMS President Chris Powell said. "It's exciting to be in a small, but elite, group of dragways to host multiple national events. We can't wait for the NHRA Toyota Nationals this October, and we look forward to another great year of NHRA drag racing in 2019 and beyond."

The DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals is the fourth of 24 series events and will be televised on FOX Sports and FOX Sports 1. Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), J.R. Todd (Funny Car), Vincent Nobile (Pro Stock) and Rickey House (Top Fuel Harley) won titles at this year's spring event.

The NHRA Nevada Nationals is the penultimate NHRA event of the season and was the race where Antron Brown clinched world titles in 2015 and 2016. Terry McMillen (Top Fuel), Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) will defend their titles this year, Oct. 25-28, after winning the event in 2017.

The Strip at LVMS has hosted the spring event since 2000 and the fall event since 2001. For tickets to any events at The Strip at LVMS, log on to LVMS.com or call 1-800-644-4444.
