The annual PJ 5K at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is going virtual in 2020. Beginning Sunday, Nov. 22 and running through Sunday, Dec. 6 participants can participate in the annual 5K run and 1-mile walk that benefits Speedway Children’s Charities by simply logging on to an electronic device. While the event won’t be done in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will raise vital funds to help local children in Southern Nevada.

And this year, participants all over the country can run or walk through the virtual world of Glittering Lights – the speedway’s annual holiday light display.

All entries are a donation of $25! Kids 5 and under are free. All paid participants will receive:

  • PJ 5K Race Bib
  • Finishers Medal
  • $5 coupon per car to drive through dazzling Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
  • Glittering Light’s mascot, Biscuit, on a Stick fan, to take with you on your run/walk/stroll – take photos of Biscuit during your PJ run and post using the hashtag #PJ5K2020.
  • The person who submits a photo of Biscuit the farthest from Las Vegas will win two tickets to a NASCAR race in 2021!

For an additional $10 donation, participants may enter a contest to win a 5- to 10-minute Zoom call with Santa Claus who will read, “Twas The Night Before Christmas!”

For a $20 donation, enter a contest to win two (2) VIP Luxury Suite Passes to one of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Packet Pick-Up will be a drive-through at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 4-7 p.m. Refunds are not allowed for this virtual run and there will be no timing at this event.
