During a visit to Las Vegas on Wednesday, December 4, NASCAR driver Josh Berry took time to reflect on his recent season and help brighten the holidays for local children through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program

Berry began at KLAS 8 News, where he sat down for an interview to recap a milestone year in his NASCAR Cup Series career. The 35-year-old driver shared insights from a season defined by growth, perseverance, and memorable on-track moments, including earning his first NASCAR Cup Series victory this spring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube. Berry also discussed the next chapter of his career, expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming season and the opportunities that lie ahead.

“It is going to be fun coming back to Las Vegas as the defending winner. That’s a feeling I haven’t had before since this was my first win,” said Berry. “I’m excited to come back in the spring and try to go back-to-back.”

Following the interview, Berry headed to Walmart to participate in The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree gift shopping, an annual program that provides holiday gifts to children and families in need. With a shopping cart in hand, Berry picked out toys and games for each child on the list, taking a thoughtful approach as he matched items to the wishes listed on their Angel Tree tags.

“This time of year always reminds me of giving back” Berry said while browsing toy aisles and selecting items for local children. “It’s special to be able to give back and knowing how meaningful these gifts can be for kids who might not otherwise receive gifts this holiday.”

Berry’s participation helped support The Salvation Army’s mission to bring joy and hope to Southern Nevada families during the holiday season. For Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the event aligned well with the track’s continued commitment to community engagement beyond the racetrack.

“Josh created an unforgettable moment here in the spring with his first Cup Series win, and it’s great to see him return and give back in such a heartfelt way,” said Patrick Lindsey, Las Vegas Motor Speedway General Manager. “His dedication to this community reflects the values we’re proud to stand behind at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.”

Berry will return to LVMS in fabulous Las Vegas during the 2026 Spring NASCAR Weekend, March 14-15. The event weekend includes the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube NASCAR Cup Series race and the LiUNA NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race. Fans will have the chance to cheer Berry on as he looks to build on the momentum from his 2025 Pennzoil 400 victory.
