NASCAR Cup Series standout Christopher Bell rolled into Las Vegas on Thursday, Aug. 28, ahead of the South Point 400—and it was a winning hand from start to finish. Between media interviews, fan meet-and-greets, and a whirlwind tour of the city’s most iconic spots, Bell experienced firsthand why the Entertainment Capital of the World is the ultimate playground for speed, lights, and thrills.
Bell’s day began at the legendary “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, where he snapped photos and took in the dazzling Strip. He then headed to Audacy Sound Space for a series of one-on-one interviews with local media, discussing his preparation for the upcoming fall race. During his sit-down with Chet Buchanan, Bell said, “The Round of Eight playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is definitely one of the most important races of the season. If you win in Vegas, you’re sitting pretty.” Contest-winning fans also hit the jackpot with a live Q&A and meet-and-greet, earning an exclusive opportunity to connect with the driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.
Next up, Bell fueled up with a classic Vegas favorite at In-N-Out Burger before taking to the skies with Maverick Helicopters. The flight dealt him stunning views of the Strip— dancing fountains and the city stretching out below—before flying out to Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where Bell lapped the track from above.
Back on the Strip, the stakes rose at Swingers inside Mandalay Bay, where Bell battled in a round of mini golf. The evening advanced to the legendary Golden Steer Steakhouse. In this Las Vegas institution, Bell enjoyed some of the best prime cuts and soaked in the high-roller atmosphere that has defined the city for decades.
To cap off the night, Bell explored the glowing history of the city at the Neon Museum, wandering through vintage signs that illuminate Las Vegas’ colorful past and present—a true jackpot that captures the city’s larger-than-life personality.
“Las Vegas is all about excitement, risk, and big wins—and today felt like hitting the jackpot,” said Bell. “I can’t wait to get back on track for the South Point 400. Las Vegas is one of those tracks that I haven’t won at… yet.”
Bell will return to Las Vegas Motor Speedway in just a few weeks for the South Point 400 NASCAR Playoffs weekend, Oct. 10–12. On-track action kicks off Friday with the CARS/Legends Tour West Classic. The excitement continues Saturday with the Focused Health 302 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff Race, before the weekend peaks on Sunday with the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series Playoff Race.
